Drugstore Beauty Favorites | Best Beauty Buys

drugstore beauty products

I haven’t done a beauty round up in far too long, but with a newest addition in my life affectionately known as *Target Drive Up* I’ve been turning to drugstore beauty more than ever. Keep scrolling for some of my favorite head to toe beauty buys!

You can shop directly from the list below or scroll down to the slider (if you’re a visual shopper like me hehe).

Sun bum drugstore sunscreen

Skin

  1. Sun Bum SPF 50 – A creamy but melt-into-your-skin formula that makes SPF feel like skincare instead of something to layer over it. A new drugstore beauty favorite!
  2. Pimple patches – Because adult breakouts are soooo a thing. 🙁
  3. Gentle fragrance-free cleanser – I’ve become much pickier when it comes to fragrance and as I’ve gotten older I almost always opt out whenever possible. This is especially important for skincare products.
  4. Gel-cream moisturizer – I’ll be honest, the packaging initially drew me to Versed, but I’m pleased to say the quality held up to its aesthetic!
  5. Aquaphor Lip – It’s not fancy, but it’s the first thing I reach for when my lips are dry and chapped.

Makeup

  1. Lash Paradise Mascara – I’ve turned so many women in my office on to this mascara because when I was pregnant I applied it every morning in the office restroom lol! It really is the BEST.
  2. Lip Bar Liquid Lip – I recently picked this up after discovering the brand through #BLM posts on Instagram. It’s such a vibrant shade with a beautiful formula!
  3. NYX Micro Brow Pencil – A great dupe for my fav high end brow pencil (Benefit Brow Pencil Party) with a super fine tip that lets you create a natural yet precise shape.
  4. Milani Concealer – The BEST full coverage drugstore concealer ever. This brand is a great drugstore beauty go-to.
  5. BB Cream – Lightweight, silky formula + bonus SPF 30! Wouldn’t recommend for oily skin as even I touch it up after several hours. It’s a great option if you just want a touch of coverage rather than a heavy foundation.
  6. NYX Butter Gloss – A buttery-soft gloss, just like the name!

natural deodorant Alvera

Body

  1. Soothing Sunscreen – Alba Botanica sunscreens are so creamy and easy to apply! It rubs in so nicely it’s not a pain to remember to reapply for optimum protection.
  2. Natural deodorant – My coworkers obsessed with this all-natural deodorant, and for good reason. It does contain fragrance, but it’s naturally derived. Overall it is effective without the harsh chemicals of traditional deodorant. I’ve tried other natural deodorants and had a HORRIBLE experience, but this one worked for me right off the bat.
  3. Body lotion – I lotion up obsessively as soon as I step out of the shower, so I go through it like water! I’m constantly rotating what I use, but this formula was really nice.

Hair & Nails

  1. O&J nail polish – My go-to nail salon in Los Angeles! I trust anything they come out with, and their polishes are no exception.
  2. Nail polish top coat – I’m missing my gel manicures like crazy while quarantined, but one must-have for any at home manicure (especially as a mama!) is a quick dry top coat. The days of sitting still for an hour with tacky nails are long gone lol.
  3. Knotted headband – I’m all about anything that will extend the lifespan of freshly washed hair, and have no shame reaching for a headband to get me through day 3-4. 😉
  4. Air dry wave spray – Kristen Ess is another brand that first pulled me in with their packaging. It looks and feels like they belong on the shelves of a high end salon and definitely stands out among drugstore beauty products!
  5. Dry shampoo – My only gripe with this dry shampoo is even their “light and bare” scent is too strong for me, but as far as performance for the price, Batiste is tried and true!
