balayage for the win

dark blonde sombre

I’ve been in search of soft, beachy, lived in, natural looking, multidimensional, Jennifer Anistonesque blonde hair color for years people, years! Is that really so much to ask??? Ok, so maybe that is a lot to ask, but that just makes my latest do all the more gratifying for me! All hail the powers of balayage! (insert praise hands emoji here) This look never could have been achieved without the hand painted technique. Or Marc. 🙂 I’ve been seeing Marc at Dej Salon for  almost a year now, and he’s worked wonders on my hair from the start. I have happily touched up, toned, and even occasionally highlighted my own hair in between appointments, but there is nothing like being in the chair and relinquishing all control to another stylist. Well, most of the control anyway. 😉 I love that Marc feels comfortable talking through formulas and color lines with me knowing I can speak his language, per se, but when I’m at Dej, he is the stylist and I am the client. I showed him photos of specifically what I wanted when I arrived for today’s appointment and we dissected how it differed from what we did in the past.  I wanted my roots a deeper shade and the low lights throughout to have an overall cooler effect, and that’s exactly what I left with. I couldn’t be happier so I wanted to share some “after” photos with you guys! Hope you are all having a fabulous week! xo D
