NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK

img_4159Oh heyyy 27! I celebrated my birthday last week and that typically means I get the annual itch to switch up my look. This year, instead of going platinum blonde (done that) or redecorating an entire portion of my home (done that, too) or gaining fifteen pounds (unfortunately did that one as well) I decided to invest time and energy into my website!

Over the years, I’ve learned so much about web design, aesthetics, and blogging in general, but only because I’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way. I have toyed around with the idea of hiring a professional to give ITSF a full blog overhaul several times, and each time I hold off thinking I can figure it out myself. I’m so glad I did, because I just finished changing up the look of things around here and I’m so pleased with how it came out. Plus I have the extra pride of being able to do it myself. 🙂

For my actual birthday (the 18th) Jordan, Mika and I woke up early and went for a run around the neighborhood. (Did that sentence make me look twenty-seven? Cause it sure felt like it.) Then I jetted off to class for an hour and was off for the rest of the day! I got a fresh set of eyelash extensions and ran a few other pamper-ish errands, and ended the night at the most amazing little live music venue hidden in the hills of Bel Air. It was low key and perfect and included all of the things I had hoped it would! (i.e my man, my dog, Susie Cakes funfetti, mac and cheese, live music, and wine :)) I hardly took any photos, so out of character I know, so I’m sharing what I have mostly from snapchat. Here’s to a new year and a new look!
