JANUARY FAVORITES || Current Beauty, Fashion, + Fitness Obsessions!

Oh hey February! I rounded up some of my favorite beauty, fashion, and fitness favorites in a video on my YouTube channel this morning. I had some technical difficulties and some of my favorites didn’t get their moment to shine, so I thought I would include them here and reiterate the rest. 🙂

Beauty

The past couple months, I fell into a daily makeup routine that has become easy, quick, and foolproof. I feel put together and better overall with a little makeup, but don’t have the time or energy to spend too much on my face in the mornings, so this routine has been perfect. I’ve been wearing a foundation + oil concoction that gives me a little extra complexion coverage, while still hydrating my painfully dry (thanks acne meds) skin. I’ve been mixing Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation with this oil, but any old oil will do. I like to mix them on the back of my hand and then paint them on with a foundation brush or beauty blender.

Then I conceal those pesky under eye circles with my new favorite, albeit SUPER thick and creamy concealer, Bye Bye Under Eye by It Cosmetics. It is full coverage so a little goes a long way, but it surely lives up to it’s name! I find it works best and stays all day if you set it with powder, I love this one

Then for a little extra glow I’ve been dabbing these Cover FX drops at the tops of my cheek bones and on the tip of my nose. I am a big fan of a dramatic highlight, but I love that these are extremely buildable. You can easily blind people go as heavy or as subtle as you would like. I apply mine with a sponge, small stippling brush, or my finger works great in a pinch, too!

Replica “Lipstick On” has become not only a gorgeous, signature fragrance of mine, but with some serious sentimental value. Fragrance has this wonderful ability to transport you right back to a memory. The first time I wore this scent was the night Jordan proposed, and what a lovely one it is to relive. 🙂

Fashion

I will not bore you with the woes of Southern CA winter weather (again, hehe) especially since it’s currently 75 degrees outside, but for the month of January I was living in scarves. Blanket scarves and more specifically, these super affordable versions off Amazon.com. I bought them in this color and this one.

Another accessory that became a staple last month was this adorable monogrammed, “W” necklace my girlfriend, Jessa gave me. I love that it’s dainty and delicate, and toting my soon to be new initial is really sweet. She got me the necklace in rose gold, and the subtle pink hue is so cute! She got it off Etsy, but Kate Spade makes a similar version that you can pick up in stores!

Fitness

I’m always on the hunt for a fun new workout, and while I loved the Sweat with Kayla app and may be returning to it soon, I recently picked up these resistance bands at Target. I found this workout video online using them and I’m hooked! It’s such a great workout, I’ve been completing it after a 30 min walk/jog on the treadmill and I’ve been sore for days after! In hindsight, I wish I had just sprung for this set off Amazon, because it’s a great value and the reviews are insanely good! I just ordered my own. 🙂

This is pretty random, but I hate the feeling of hair on my face or my back when I workout, so I’m constantly battling with clips, hair ties, headbands, etc. I recently picked up these headbands and love that they’re huge and keep all my baby hairs (or whiskers as my sister, oh so lovingly refers to them :P) off my face! These look great too!

What have you been loving this month?

I’ve been on a hunt for amazing mascara and so I picked up Too Faced Better Than Sex. So far so good, but I’d love to know more. My issue is that my eyelashes don’t stay up. Too Faced does a descent job but I wonder if there’s something else. And speaking of frgaence, I really upped my DoTerra essential oil game and have been diffusing a blend called Serenity that’s supposed to make you feel restful and ease anxiety. I’ve been using it as a fragrance too mixed into unscented lotion.
