Skincare Favorites

  • The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% – The newest addition to my beauty favorites and skincare routine and WOW I see an improvement in skin texture and overall “glow” after just 2 weeks!
  • The Ordinary Rose Hip Oil – I added this into my routine when I was struggling to find breastfeeding safe skincare options and still love how it goes on. I have dry skin and love how this formula is hydrating but not overly oily.
  • SkinCeuticals Age Cleanser – I use this a few times a week when I have time to spend on my beauty routine and it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.
  • Cerave Cleanser – My go-to everyday cleanser that doesn’t break me out and does a great job of removing that last layer of makeup before bed.
  • Biossance Mask – I love Biossance products and predominantly used them through pregnancy and postpartum. I use this mask every week or so for a deep clean/pamper evening. 🙂
  • Versed Moisturizing Cream – I’ve used this every night for months and love that it’s creamy and hydrating, but lightweight enough that I can apply a thin layer in the morning and it doesn’t leave me feeling greasy.
  • SuperGoop SPF – Supergoop just seems to have the perfect formula for skincare friendly SPF. I love all their SPF solutions and they’ve been a staple in my beauty favorites for years.
  • Fresh Lip Treatment – My lips get dry when the temperatures drop, and this has been a favorite lip treatment for years!

Beauty Favorites – Makeup

  • Ilia Skin Tint Drops – I ordered this skin tint a few weeks ago after another blogger shared it and I just love the formula. It’s medium coverage, but buildable with a few layers and gives my skin such a natural looking glow. It doesn’t look like makeup at all!
  • Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara – My tried and true. I’ll never stray! Beauty Favorites approved.
  • Kosas Bronzer – A beautiful bronzer with a subtle hint of sheen. A perfect all in one, especially if you skip highlighter and blush!
  • NYX Brow Pencil – A great dupe for my favorite high end precision brow pencils by Too Faced and Anastasia Beverly Hills!
  • Milani Concealer – This concealer is super pigmented and blendable. It performs just as well as a Makeup Forever or other high end counterparts.
  • Tarte Born This Way Concealer – Medium coverage and doesn’t crease so I can use it anywhere I want to spot cover!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink Lipstick – My all time favorite lipstick formula and subtle “my lips but better” shade.
  • NYX Butter Gloss – This gloss lives up to its name. It glides on smooth and is super affordable.

Beauty Favorites – Hair

  • R&Co Dry Shampoo – I got a sample of this dry shampoo in my last Sephora order and LOVE the formula. I prefer a gritty/volumizing dry shampoo and this definitely fits the bill.
  • Alterna Hair Exfoliating Shampoo – I got to try this at work and loved it. It didn’t strip my hair at all! Full disclosure, Alterna is also owned by my employer, so I know they’re good peeps. 🙂
  • Wet Brush – Leyton and I both use this brush and have for years. The best!
  • Olaplex – My hair has been a bit neglected over the last few years so anything bond building or split end mending goes a long way these days.
  • Mane Message Scrunchies – I ordered some goodies from Mane Message after following owner, Olivia on YouTube and Instagram for years. She has so many cute accessories, but these scrunchies are my go-to daily hair tie.
  • Gold Bobby Pins – Two parts function, one part fancy. Ya know, cause they’re gold. 😉
  • Hydra Pearl Oil – I work for PRAVANA, so of course I also love the ladies behind this product hehe, but this is a great smoothing serum regardless. It’s lightweight and adds tons shine without texture or too much hold.
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo – I’ve used this drug store dry shampoo for years and always go back to it. It’s an affordable price point and leaves my hair refreshed even on day 3.

Beauty Favorites – Body

  • Tanologist drops – I’ve tried many tanning products in my day, and I’m so impressed by this user-friendly formula. It’s mess free and you can turn any face or body cream turn into a buildable tanning product. Genius!
  • Nécessaire Body Serum and Lotion – The serum feels like slathering Crisco all over your body. But in the best way. Both are fragrance free which is always a nice bonus to me for my beauty favorites.
  • Kiss Press on Nails – It’s been quite some time since I’ve had a proper manicure. Thank you pandemic. But these are a quick, temporary solution in a pinch.
  • Alvera Roll On Deodorant – This has earned its spot in every beauty post I’ve created over the last couple years, and with good reason. I wear it daily and it never fails me!
  • Lux Unfiltered Tanning Cream – I’ve followed Sivan, Lux Unfiltered creator, for years so I was happy to support her brand, but this tanning truly cream delivers. It’s a luxurious cream and natural looking tan all in one.
  • Milk & Honey Bath Soak – I’m normally NOT a bath person, but lately I’ve gotten back into HIIT workouts, and a calming soak is such a nice way to soothe sore muscles.

Beauty Misses

I also wanted to share a few products I tried recently that didn’t work for me for one reason or another. They aren’t bad per-se, they just weren’t a fit for me.

  • Lux Unfiltered drops – I loved the Tanologist drops so much so I was excited to try Sivan’s version, but I have to say I’m so disappointed! They just don’t give me any color, despite trying to pair it with different creams, applying multiple drops, and following all product instructions. Such a bummer! 🙁
  • Sephora Collection – Melting Cleansing Balm Cleanse + Balance – I picked this up on a whim during my most recent Sephora order, and I can see why it is priced so low. It does a $10 job lol. It was no match for my foundation and didn’t stand a chance against waterproof mascara. The Beautycounter cleansing balm was a quick beauty favorites addition, but at $80 a pop I was hoping to find a more affordable option. Sadly this didn’t fit the bill.
  • Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo – I picked this up when my go-to Batiste was out of stock, and it didn’t leave much of an impact on me. I honestly felt like it didn’t do anything!
