I’m sure everyone is aware by now (I’m shocked Instagram didn’t spontaneously combust after the announcement) that Alexander Wang, the young East Coast designer and creative director for Balenciaga, is the next talent to create a collection for H&M! Wang spoke out on the opportunity saying, “I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to pushing boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.” It is sure to be an amazing collection and I know that I, as well as the entire fashion community, will be on the edge of our seats until it’s debut November 6th! I’m already preparing my wallet and calendar for the day, as the collection is sure to sell out in literally no time. Wang is following in the footsteps of fashion royalty- Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, and Isabel Marant, to name a few, have all collaborated with the brand.  Here is a peek at H&M’s past designer collections.
