Hi! I’m sorry that it’s been a couple weeks since I last checked in over here. Things have been a little crazy since my trip to Hawaii, but I’m back and settled in. I swear, I could get used to that island life. It sure is tempting, I tell ya. As much as I love putting together outfits, my least favorite part of travel is packing. I tried to strictly bring the necessities this trip, and almost have it down to a science now. I put together a post all about my travel essentials and carry-on items, so look out for that early next week.
This week was one of those that felt like an eternity for me. It dragged on and on, and at the conclusion of each day I felt like I was leaving a pile of unfinished business. It’s such a gross feeling and can be a tough one to shake. I realized I never published this outfit from a few weeks back, and had to remedy that immediately. These boots obviously deserve their moment in the spotlight. 🙂 Plus, they’re on sale!! Jordan’s mom and brother picked them out for me for Christmas and I’m in love! J said his fam was a little weary to pick out a fashion gift for me because I clearly care a little bit about what I wear, ha. I totally get it though, because that’s exactly how I feel when I cook for his mom. She’s basically Julia Child, Giada, and Barefoot Contessa all wrapped up in one. Not intimidating at alllll, especially when my plain palette would be happy eating buttered noodles for a week straight. 😉
The boots are by Joie, so I already had a strong feeling that I was going to like them. I feel like if the brand were a person, Joie would totally be that girl who is effortlessly gorgeous and actually writes in her daytime planner. The girl you kind of want to hate, but she’s actually really funny and cool so you can’t. These are my first pair of Joie shoes and they embody my style pretty perfectly if you ask me. Their neutral hue makes them super wearable, the suede fringe is both on trend and adds a boho flair, and that heel gives them a hint of sexiness. I personally believe booties are the most versatile style of shoe on the planet. I live in them year around, and can’t wait to style these with spring dresses and midi skirts.
What is the Spring fashion item you are most excited to start rocking again? Tell me in the comments!
