If it looks like I wear the same outfit everyday, that’s only because lately I wear the same outfit everyday. 😉 I’ve clearly already adopted my summer uniform which consists of a rotation between lightweight loungewear and relaxed denim shorts.
Since I already featured a ton of loungewear on my YouTube channel, I figured it was time to spotlight some of my go-to summer shorts. Every time I post on Instagram wearing these shorts, I get dm’s asking for the link. They’re just too good!
The 6 pairs linked above all have a flattering fit and aren’t too…well, anything. I prefer a middle of the road short that isn’t too short, too high waisted, too stiff, or too stretchy. My favorite summer shorts run the gamut as far as price point, so there really is something for everyone.
AFFORDABLE
These are probably the most versatile denim shorts I own and I truly might purchase another 3 pairs. They’re soft and comfortable but snug and structured at the same time. Highly recommend!
REASONABLE
Levi’s and Madewell are great options for a reasonable price point, and they have a diverse range of washes to choose from. These are the perfect medium wash, and I’m always a fan of distressing. You can find vintage Levis too for that hard to replicate worn-in look and feel.
INVESTMENT
There was a time when I couldn’t log on to Instagram without seeing the same pair of Agolde denim shorts on every square inch of my feed, but I gave in and ya know what? They’re worth it. The fit is so flattering. I just wish they didn’t have a button fly because your girl is too well hydrated and it’s a bit of an inconvenience after the 35th trip to the bathroom lol. But otherwise, I’m a huge fan.
Every time my sister wears these carbon wash Citizens of Humanity denim shorts, I’m tempted to purchase a pair myself. They’re quite the investment as well, but stand behind the quality you’d expect. The Abercrombie pair I linked above are a great dupe if you’re not looking to spend as much.
