when in doubt, rock a boyfriend jean

Fall? What is this “fall” season I keep reading about? Judging by my sleeveless tank in the brightest hue known to man, clearly fall has yet to enter my brain or vocabulary. Just because we are in September, doesn’t mean I need to sweat bullets in a chunky knit cardigan and drink pumpkin spice lattes. It’s 80 degrees outside! I love it that way, and can’t imagine living anywhere else.

The weather may not be any indication that fall is approaching, but being back in school sure is. I remember growing up, I was truthfully always being ready for summer break to be over come September. I couldn’t wait to be in a new classroom, meet my new classmates, and to debut my new wardrobe. Surprisingly, at 24, this is still an annual occurrence (minus the enthusiasm for being back in the classroom setting…have I mentioned how ready I am to just freaking graduate?! I think I have.) The only other aspect that has changed over the years is that “back to school shopping” isn’t graciously gifted to me (thanks parentals, for the years I took this for granted)…boo, being a grown up is so not as fun as they made it look when I was a kid.

Luckily, I was able to pick up a few new pieces before the first day of school, among which were these incredibly comfortable and amazingly affordable pair of boyfriend jeans. I’ve been pining over the perfect pair for EVER and have finally met them. It’s love. Look out for them again here on the blog, because I have virtually styled them a million different ways in my head. Yippee! I hope everyone has an amazing first week of September! xo
